Stability and Mobility
Now that we understand the client's situation, we can start creating the conditions for success. Oral motor control is where we will start. Without genuine control of the jaw, lips, tongue, and even head and neck, R will be elusive

Now that the client has an R syllable, we can focus on "how" they say it. Without this piece of the puzzle your client will feel uncomfortable using their new skill in conversation with friends, or they will simply forget to use it.
